Winter 2012 ski season - snowdrifter trips

Join us at our ski meetings and get all the latest updates on the ski trips for this winter season. We meet at 7:30 pm on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month from October through March. April through September we just meet on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:30 pm. Attend the ski meeting, get information on the trips, and enjoy the social atmosphere of the the Old Towne Pub with your fellow Snowdrifters. Trips details are below and in the newsletter.

After multiple surveys to club members, meeting with numerous tour operators and resort representatives and negotiating deals and inclusions Snowdrifters’ Trip Committee has determined our trips for the 2011/2012 ski season. The majority of these trips went on sale at our kick-off party. Fill out the trip sign-up forms available from the links below prior to meeting with the trip coordinators, that will speed up the sign-up process.

Prices are based on air fuel charges & taxes and might have adjustments by final payment.

Granite Peak Mountain – January 6-8, 2012, Price $300.00/person, $280/person if over 65, $240/person w/o lift tickets

Taos, New Mexico - January 21-28, 2012, Price $1365/person, $1464 with lessons.

Winter Park, Colorado - February 8-13, 2012, Price $890/person.

Indianhead, Michigan - February 24-26, 2012, Price $287/Adult.

Telluride, Colorado - March 3-10, 2012, Price $1625/person.

You've saved, you've waited, and now you're all set to go skiing. Preparing for your trip includes covering yourself from unfortunate occurrences that threaten to interfere with even your best-laid plans. Ski Trip Insurance is now available thru the club. The insurance cost is 5% of the Western ski trip cost excluding lift tickets. You can purchase the trip insurance by clicking this link.. This will take you to the Travel Guard site where you can input your data. Once you get to section for Trip Vendor, input “None”, and continue to key your information.

Ski Trip Insurance Highlights include:

• Medical coverage is now PRIMARY during the course of the trip
• $600 in Trip Delay coverage ($200/day) – increased from $500 ($100/day)
• Trip Cancellation coverage for job loss or layoff.
• Baggage Delay Coverage increased to $600.00
• "Fire" and "Wildfire" are now included in the definition of "Natural Disaster"*
• Longer window for the waiver of pre-existing medical conditions – now included when the plan is purchased up to 21 days after initial trip payment (was previously a 14-day window).
